Piercer Bio
Angi Brooks
Angi has dedicated her life to body piercing devoting sixteen years to this form of body art. Ten of those sixteen years, she worked at two shops in Pensacola, FL. Transferring to Orlando to tap into the hot boy band action (Thanks Tanner, your a dream come true), she spent time at the original Built 4 Speed location in Winter Park, then went on to Against the Grain in Melbourne, FL for two years. Ending up at Built 4 Speed for the second time, owning and operating the piercing and apparel portion of the shop as well as managing the Boys. To top off her experience, precision and style, she is downright certifiable. Angi completed the State of Florida's Biomedical Waste Training, the American Red Cross class Preventing Disease Transmission, she is certified in OSHAs Bloodborne Pathogens, and has received instructor certificates from the American Red Cross for CPR and First Aid. To add to her craft abilities, she also attended a week-long piercing course offered by Gotham under instruction from John Lopez as well as making her way to Las Vegas for four years to attend the APP (Associate of Professional Piercers) Conference.
Along with running the shop, Angi also organizes all Built 4 Speed events. Including the monthly Artist Showcase, which is a part of the Downtown Orlando Third Thursday Art Walk. She models and can be seen in some of the art hanging on the walls and in the February 2008 issue of Juxtapoz Magazine modeling for a independent clothing label 'The House of Abraxas' (which you can find for sale at B4S). This modern southern belle is also featured as the cover model for the 2006 Traben Bass Catalog and was the cover model and the face of April for Tribaletics Professional Body Piercers of 2004. In the fall 2006, she organized The Indorphine Tattoo Art Extravaganza where friends and fans of the underground sound of Indorphine came together to tattoo their favorite Indorphine art on their favorite body part.
